Timothy Treadwell was an American bear enthusiast, environmentalist, amateur naturalist, eco-warrior and documentary film maker.
Treadwell's life, were the subject of the 2005 critically acclaimed documentary film by Werner Herzog titled Grizzly Man own footage of his interactions with grizzly bears before he and his girlfriend were killed and eaten by a bear in 2003, and of interviews with people who knew or were involved with Timothy.
